SOUNDS OF SPAIN, A PRODUCTION BY MARTA HERNANDEZ

 SOUNDS OF SPAIN are a series of concerts I have the honor to produce with such extraordinary artists as Lara Bello, Ariadna Castellanos and Alfonso Cid. Mar Salá will also be playing with Victor Prieto (accordion) and Carlitos Maldonado (percussion). All the concerts will take place at CASA MEZCAL (http://www.casamezcalny.com/#!gallery). These will take place on 4 Wednesdays starting with Lara Bello on January 30, followed by Ariadna Castellanos on February 6, Mar Salá on February 13 and will end with Alfonso Cid on February 20th. These artist bring be bringing you the true spirit of Spain through their flamenco rhythms common thead.

Singer-Songwriter Lara Bello has a voice and
musical personality that enables her to move
effortlessly between cultures.
From Granada (Spain) and currently based in
New York, Bello began her education in music
as a singer and violinist at the Consevatory
Angel Barrios in Granada. She continued her
studies at SCAEM, the Villalobos Academy and
the Royal School of Music of London.
Alongside her formal training in classical music,
Bello also studied flamenco singing at the 
Escuela Superior de Estudios
Flamencos de Granada, as well
     as Shomoyo (Japanese Buddhist chant), Druphad
     and overtone singing. Her interest in jazz brought her to the Tallerde Musics in Barcelona, and she
     participated in vocal workshops withGillyanne Kayes and Anna Maria Finger in the same city.
     Bello has also studied dance from an early age, in flamenco, modern dance and arabic dance.
